So Now

So Now
“So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.” – John 13:33-35 (NLT)

A Thought
Such powerful and direct words.  There is no confusion as to the meaning of Jesus’s words.  We are to love one another.  What a different world we would live in if this commandment was followed by all people.  To love someone is to share, to forgive, to put the other first, etc. On this earth we have people starving, if we truly love one another would there be no hunger. If we truly loved one another there would be no war there would be peace. If we just started practicing this within our family and our circle of people that surround us then the world would start changing. God loved us so much he sent his only Son to die for us – there can be no greater love.

A Prayer
Dear Father,

Thank you for sending your Son to die for our sins.  We thank you for your love.

As it is written in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” As we read this we can see your demonstration of your love for us by sending your only Son to forgive our sins.

Please help us to love one another as Jesus commanded us.  Please help us to put our self-centered ways aside and realize that your way is the way to eternal life. Please bless all who we come in contact with and let us be your light in the world.
