Norman Vincent Peale Quotes
If you worry, you are a worrier because your mind is saturated with worry thoughts. To counteract these, mark every passage in your Bible that speaks of faith, hope, and courage.
No matter how dark things become, someone is always with you – and that someone is God. He helps by giving you peace and a positive mental attitude.
Do not exclusively say your prayers in the form of asking God for something. The prayer of thanksgiving is much more powerful.
God answers prayer in three ways: yes, no, and wait awhile.
Before you go to sleep, run over your personal world mentally and thank God for everyone and everything.
If you’ve been full of error and defeat, be done with it. Say, “By God’s grace, I’m done with it,” and take charge of yourself like never before.
To cure worry, spend fifteen minutes daily filling your mind full of God. Worry is just a very bad mental habit. You can change any habit with God’s help.
Fear is strong, but faith is stronger yet.
The Bible – the wisest document ever known in human existence, which defies the ravages of time and change because it contains the truth that cannot be changed or invalidated.
You can do amazing things if you have strong faith, deep desire, and just hang in there.
Confidently receive God’s abundant blessings. Think abundance, prosperity, and the best of everything.
Ask for what you want but always be willing to take what God gives. It may prove better than what you ask for.
The most vital, creative, and positive thoughts are those stated in the Bible. Its words are alive and form powerful thought processes.
The Bible tells us that the sins of the fathers are passed to succeeding generations. The virtues of the fathers can be passed along, too.
Jesus made it clear that the most important thing in the world is our relationship to God and to others. When we achieve that, everything good will follow.
Do you think Christianity could have lasted for nearly two thousand years on its promises unless the Lord could deliver on them?
And what marvelous things there are for which to be grateful in God’s great Creation!
Everybody really knows what to do to have his life filled with joy.
What is it? Quit hating people; start loving them. Quit being mad at people; start liking them. Quit doing wrong; quit being filled with fear.
Quit thinking about yourself and go out and do something for other people.
Everybody knows what you have to do to be happy. But the wisdom of the test lies in the final words: “If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.”
The only figure in history who endures is Jesus.
Prayer begins where human capacity ends.
Trouble is here. It is for a purpose. Use it for the purpose for which it was intended – to help you grow. Thank God for your troubles.
