A Thought
When we think of children we think of their innocence, their belief, and how simple life is for them. How they accept what they are taught, how they demonstrate unconditional love; they do not worry about tomorrow they live in the present moment. As adults we could learn a lot from children. If we could just learn to trust God, live in the moment, learn from God’s Word how different our lives would be.
A Prayer
Dear Father,
Thank you for the blessing of the children in our life. Please help us to take the time to just sit and watch a child. Let us observe their happiness, their worry free state. Help us to be like children to be in awe of all that surrounds us. Teach us to appreciate the simple things life has to offer.
As Jesus said in Matthew 6:31-33: “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Help us to have the faith of a child that our needs will be met, to be content with what we have, and not to waste our life with worry.
In Jesus name I pray.
Amen.
