A Thought
We when don’t forgive, when we hold a grudge, we are in fact, holding ourselves back from life. When we don’t let go of something that has happened in the past, we end up living in the past rather than living in the present. By forgiving we are letting the issue go, we are letting God deal with it, we are moving forward.
A Prayer
Dear Father
I am grateful for all the blessings in my life and I thank you. When I think of the hurt I have experienced it compares nothing to the hurt Jesus felt while he lived in this world. He is an example for me, and someone that I aspire to live like. While he forgive, I must forgive.
I will follow the advice in Proverbs 20:22, where it says, Don’t say, “I will get even for this wrong.” Wait for the Lord to handle the matter. I forgive those who have done me wrong. And, I will leave the matter in your hands.
