People Can

A Thought
I know a woman who is always willing to help others. I know this woman will be in heaven because of her faith.  But, she is always complaining, she always has something negative to say. A perfect example of a person on their way to heaven, but not truly enjoying the journey of each day. 

A Prayer
Dear Father,
Thank you for the opportunity of living this day with all of its blessings. Help me to always appreciate the day which you have given me.  As it is written in Psalm 118:24, “This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Let me recognize the miracles that surround me every day, the sunrise, the beauty of nature, the goodness of people. Let me see these miracles with new eyes each day being thankful for all that you provide for.

Let my presence represent your light in the world.  Help me to be the salt and the light that Jesus talked about. Do not let me become bitter or negative with the day and its challenges, instead let me trust in you!

In Jesus name I pray.
Amen.
